Die idiopathische thrombozytopenische Purpura (ITP; auch Purpura haemorrhagica, thrombozytopenische Purpura, Autoimmunthrombozytopenie und immunthrombozytopenische Purpura) wird heute meist Immunthrombozytopenie oder Immunthrombopenie genannt und ist eine Autoimmunkrankheit, welche die Thrombozyten (Blutplättchen) betrifft. Thrombozytopenie bezeichnet einen Mangel an Thrombozyten im Blut.
